How to Live as Sons, Regardless of Your Father Issues

Liz.W

When we flew to Malaysia that second week of November, we knew not what to expect.

We braved the turbulence in the air, and purported to fly life after that weekend with  ease.

All we knew was that we were gathered for a special cause, and united with a common bond.

We were all servants in the House, all children of Pastors parents,  all seeking for a breakthrough in our lives. #IPINCONFERENCE2016

We all know this:  sometimes the chart of our lives may seem frenzied, and chaotic — but God really does have a method to all the seeming madness, and a certainty in all the chaos.

And it is in knowing His divine purpose that will enable us to make sense out of the complexities and perplexities of ministry.

It is in enduring the pain that God build in us a fountain of strength, a mountain of character.

And what’s hard can be a prelude to something powerful.

What’s pressing can be what presses the oil to flow.

God will prepare you.  He will surely gird you.

The pain that doesn’t go away easily makes you lean upon the arms that will never give way.

When the pain is searing, hold on to the Rock unmoving.

“Do not pray for easy lives, pray to be stronger men.

Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers; pray for powers equal to your tasks.

Then the doing of your work shall be no miracle, but you shall be a miracle.

Every day you shall wonder at yourself, at the richness of life which had come to you by the grace of God”.

Phillip Brooks

And remember this:  we were never called to minister more than we are called to live out our Sonship.

And the ministry that flows out of true identity can flow into the community healing all our infirmities.

He who has a divine purpose prioritises the making of our souls, and truly sees the beautiful ending from the beginning.

Anything that’s made well is made slowly…

“Often the cause (the one great thing God created you to do in this world) is revealed when you are at the lowest point of the valley, not on the pinnacle of the mountain.” Matthew Barnett (Founder of the Dream Centre)

We can all ditch the orphan spirit and start living like Sons and Daughters of the Father’s House,

and fly with perfect ease forevermore…

“The Spirit doesn’t put band-aids on anything. He goes to the core of your problems to provide help. If you light a much and set a piece of wood on fire, the fire will penetrate the wood. That’s what the Holy Spirit does in our lives.”  – Jim cymbala
